| Description of Project:
Asian Development Bank (ADB) is helping Bangladesh to improve municipal services under an urban governance action program. The project named as Third Urban Governance and Infrastructure Improvement Project (UGIIP-III); which is part of the program, will provide assistance to 36 Pourashavas or municipalities with a total population of 2.2 million, including 20 towns. The loan funds will be used to upgrade infrastructure and services, including roads and water and sanitation, and strengthen governance.
The project site for construction of 1 (one) Municipal Market is located within the Jashore Pourashava area and this is within urban area. |
| Description of Actual Services Provided by Staff of this Firm in the Assignment:
Services included: Ambient Air Quality Monitoring at 1 location in 2 hours duration. The parameter is SPM, and Particulate Matter (PM10, and PM2.5) and CO. Ambient Noise Level Measurement at 1locations in daytime for 30 minutes duration. Surface Water Quality Monitoring at 2 locations. The parameters are Temperature, pH, EC, TDS, DO, Fe, Pb, TSS, COD, BOD and NO3. § Groundwater Quality Monitoring at 1 location. The parameters are Temperature, pH, EC, TDS, DO, Salinity, Pb, Fe, NO3, As, Cl-, TC and FC. Soil Quality Monitoring at 1 location: The parameters are Oil & Grease, Organic Matter, Nitrogen and Phosphate Preparation of an Environmental Quality Test Report based on the analysis result of water pollution testing, air quality monitoring, soil pollution testing, and noise level measurements.
