Consultancy Services for Detailed Site Reconnaissance Survey (covering Condition Assessment Survey, Environmental Reconnaissance Survey and Social Reconnaissance Survey) for Sub-Transmission and Distribution Network (substations, switching-stations, overhead lines, underground cables, equipment’s, transformers, towers, poles, etc. at each voltage level i.e., 33 kV, 11 kV, 0.4 kV and 0.23 kV).

With the aim to provide quality and reliable electricity to all the people of the country; and improve electricity demand of large number of people within short amount of time, the Gov’t of Bangladesh is time considering a stable power supply to the consumers and it is proposed to replace the overhead power distribution network with underground cabling system within keranigong Upazila in Dhaka District.

Under Ground (UG) cabling Network Works includes replacing the existing overhead sub transmission and Distribution Network System (substations, switching-station, overhead lines, underground cables, equipment, transformers, tower, poles, etc. at each voltage level i.e, 33 KV, 11 KV, 0.4 KV and 0.23 KV) to under Ground Distrubtion Network.

Scope of Services included –

Condition Assessment SurveyCondition assessment survey collection of existing information of the project area, including but not limited to the following:

·        Inspect the present conditions of all approach sections.

·        Identify the existing condition of present facilities around the section.

·        Visit all important locations around the project area.

·        Collect all relevant information of the project area.

·        Discussion with general information in the area regarding the proposed project.

·        Photographs of the project area and surrounding area.

Environmental Reconnaissance Survey

Environmental Reconnaissance Survey comprises collection of various environmental information, including but not limited to the following:

·        Local names of the Flora present in and around the section (Visual Observation & Consultation with Local People).

·        Local names of the Fauna present in and around the section (Visual Observation & Consultation with Local People).

·        Sensitive locations in and around the project area including GPS locations.

·        Photographs of the project areas and surrounding area.

Social Reconnaissance Survey

Social Reconnaissance Survey comprises collection of various social information, including but not limited to the following:

·        Number of surrounding households and their livelihood condition.

·        Local business condition.

·        Local transport condition.

·        Health & Sanitation system in the area.

·        Flooding condition of the area.

·        Photographs of the project area and surrounding area.
