Engagement of Consulting Firm to Conduct Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for “Four (04) Appraisal Cum Development Wells (Shahbazpur-5 & 7; Bhola North-3 & 4) and One (01) Exploration Well (Shahbazpur North East -1) Drilling project

BAPEX intends to drill four Appraisal Cum Development Wells in Shahbazpur-5 & 7, Bhola North-3 & 5, and one Exploration Well in Shahbazpur North East-1 to enhance the nation’s energy security. These wells, located in Bhola District, are crucial for increasing gas reserves, supporting industries, and improving the country’s economic conditions. BAPEX, an experienced domestic company in oil/gas exploration, is well-equipped with skilled manpower and advanced tools for the drilling projects.

The consultancy services required under this project refers to the preparation of Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report according to the requirement of the Bangladesh Government’s for the project along with obtaining Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) from Department of Environment (DoE).

The delivery of the services has been divided into the following task and its sub-tasks.

► Task 2d: Assessment of Socio-economic Status of the Project Area.

► Task 2e: Stakeholder Consultations.
