| Description of Project:
The Buriganga, a tide-influenced river is passing through the west and south of Dhaka City. In ancient times one course of the Ganges used to reach the Bay of Bengal through Dhaleswari. This course gradually shifted and ultimately lost its link with the main channel of the Ganges and was renamed as the Buriganga. Beribadh Rayer Bazar Sluice gate to Postogola Bridge along the river Buriganga road is very narrow but traffic movement is high which creates huge traffic jams and roads are confined to gathering bazar people and local transports. To perform Environmental Quality Test for ” Consultancy Services for the Improvement of Inner Circular Ring Road from Beribadh Road Rayer Bazar Sluice Gate to Lohar Bridge and the Preliminary/Conceptual Design from Lohar Bridge to the Postogola Bridge under Dhaka South City Corporation”. |

DSCl has provided this service: § Carry out sampling and testing activities for environmental quality monitoring. § Conduct ambient air quality monitoring at four (04) locations. § Carry out ambient noise level measurement at twelve (12) locations both during day and night-time. § Carry out vibration level measurement at twelve (12) locations within the project influenced area. § Collection of Surface water samples at three (03) locations and carry out testing of defined. § Collection of groundwater samples at four (04) locations and carry out testing of defined.
