| Description of Project:
The regional community places a high value on the Mawa-Munshiganj Highway’s connections to the 3rd Shitalakhya Bridge and the approach road to the Mukterpur Bridge; therefore, extending the existing approach road has become crucial to support the current and anticipated traffic demand. After the bridge was built, a number of projects along the Mukterpur Bridge approach road took place. RHD created a Project Concept Paper (PCP) in 2004 with the route from Mukterpur to Chashara in mind to build the access road, but the Planning Commission rejected it because of the project’s high cost. In order to choose a different alignment, BBA conducted a survey in May 2007 and then created a DPP using the same RHD alignment. |
| Description of Actual Services Provided by Staff of this Firm in the Assignment:
Services included: § The air quality testing parameters covered: PM10 & PM2.5, Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx), Sulfur Dioxide (SO2), and Carbon Monoxide (CO), Wind Speed, Wind Direction. § The Surface water quality testing parameters included: BOD5, DO, Turbidity, TSS. § The Ground water quality testing parameters included: BOD5, DO, Turbidity, TSS. § Noise level measurements were conducted using an HTC Scientific Sound Level Meter (SLM), SL – 1352. Preparation of Contractor Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) and Environmental Quality Test Report based on the analysis result of water quality test, air quality monitoring, and noise level measurements. |
