| Description of Project:
The proposed Project involves setting up of one (01) biogas-based electricity generation plant by United Integrated Agro Ltd. (UIAL) at Bhangahati, Sreepur, Gazipur.The Project will use poultry litter as feed material in the biogas digesters for gas production. Gas produced in the digesters will be used to run a 31.25kW and 43.75 kW biogas generators. Furthermore, excess gas would be utilized to operate biogas cook-stoves at the project site, which would also lead to a reduction in the use of LPG cylinders for cooking. On the other hand, slurry produced in the digesters will be sold in the open market. |
| Description of Actual Services Provided by Staff of this Firm in the Assignment:
The scope of the services shall comprise:
1. Carryout Environmental and Social Survey in the project influenced area as per the TOR. 2. Carryout Focus Group Discussions and Stakeholder Consultations. 3. Preparation of Baseline Environmental Survey & Consultation Report. 4. Review of existing information (relevant all documents). 5. Provide a full description of the project (such as project location, layout, components, construction materials, etc.). 6. Provide a description of the environment. 7. Analysis of alternatives to the proposed project. 8. Address occupational health and safety (H&S) requirements. 9. Ensure that all provisions of GOB and WB applicable policies are complied with. 10. Devise a mitigation plan for all project-related impacts and 11. Prepare IEE in accordance with the GoB & DOE Policies. |
