| Description of Project:
The Government of Bangladesh (GoB) intends to enhance the capacity of urban local bodies (ULBs, i.e., municipalities and city corporations) in development and management of urban infrastructure and improve municipal governance and services through undertaking the Municipal Governance and Services Project (MGSP) in selected Pourashavas and City Corporations. The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) and the Bangladesh Municipal Development Fund (BMDF) under the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives will implement the project with participation of the selected ULBs. The project will be financed by IDA, with GoB contribution.
The project site for construction and improvement of the 1 (one) Municipal Road is located within the Saidpur Pourashava area and this is within urban area. |
| Description of Actual Services Provided by Staff of this Firm in the Assignment:
Services included: Ambient Air Quality Monitoring at 3 locations in 2 hours duration. The parameter is SPM, and Particulate Matter (PM10, and PM2.5). Ambient Noise Level Measurement at 5 locations in daytime. Surface Water Quality Monitoring at 2 locations. The parameters are pH, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BODs), Ammonia- Nitrogen (NH3-N). § Groundwater Quality Monitoring at 2 locations. The parameters are pH, Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BODs), Ammonia- Nitrogen (NH3-N). Preparation of an Environmental Quality Test Report based on the analysis result of water pollution testing, air quality monitoring, soil pollution testing, and noise level measurements. |
